Behind the Face of GCFW

Jocelyn Savage was the official Face of Gold Coast Fashion Week. Fresh faced and easily elegant beyond her years we sit down over hair, makeup and coffee to discuss her past, present, wardrobe and future. Californian born, Jocelyn moved to Australia at the age of eight and by fourteen was scouted by Billabong and signed by Dally’s Brisbane. It’s hard to believe she’s only eighteen with already so much experience behind her, working for Coca Cola at sixteen and travelling to Europe for Billabong in a recent campaign.

“It’s been a pretty smooth ride for me, but I’m not a naturally competitive person so I won’t push for anything, I believe everything happens for a reason.”

Busy is an understatement. Jocelyn graduated from St Hilda’s School in the month of November but says her school was so flexible and understanding of her career. And although we are in the midst of her schoolies celebrations, it is surprising to discover that her ultimate Saturday night is staying in with her mum, movies and Ben and Jerry’s.

Gold Coast Fashion Week – the search for the new “Face of Fashion Week” continues.
